Framecraft Bath Ltd has flourished from its establishment in 1992, as a sole trader, in the converted railway station at Green Park. We are a family run business that prides itself in providing a friendly and reliable service and aims to provide the highest possible degree of customer satisfaction. We have maintained a nucleus of highly trained and skilled craftsmen to ensure that customers are well informed and that the end product is manufactured to the best possible standard. The company has been developed on these basic principles and, largely through referrals by satisfied customers, now has a large and loyal customer base.
Sadly due to the nature of the two competiting organisations (PEFC and the FSC) we could no longer participate as members of the FSC. This is due to not being able to claim the product as FSC if we were to use a PEFC backing board in a frame. We still, however, continue to stock a majority of woods, mount boards and backing boards that have been certified by our suppliers as FSC as well as the PEFC.
FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.
Established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation, FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide.
FSC is a certification system that provides internationally recognized standard-setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services to companies, organizations, and communities interested in responsible forestry.
The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as well as providing ongoing business value.
FSC is nationally represented in more than 50 countries around the world.
